Alex took the class "Introduction to Architectural History: 1400 to the Present" at Northwestern and chose to produce a video essay on the Monadnock Building. The video won the department’s annual Warnock Prize for Art Historical Writing, which recognizes outstanding work in an introductory-level course. From the instructor of the course: "I have told anyone who will listen about the brilliance of this video. I’ve only known Alex a short time, but among the many insights and rigor of her narrated essay is a clear passion for her subject and an evident joy in plumbing its mysteries."
Alex created a series of these whimsical overlay drawings on sheet music for gifts to family members and friends over the years.
A series of gifts to Kim for birthdays/Christmas. This one was scheduled for June 2025 and was an ambitious itinerary for both its mileage and the sheer number of food stops along the way. Alex and Kim both found joy in bike riding, and eating.
